Somehow another month has passed us by. We have actually been really busy (in a fun way for once). I took the boys to Tennessee for the Fourth while Shane went to visit some friends in Jacksonville. My first solitary road trip went better than I expected, if you discount the last hour of the trip back which involved a lot of crying and a general need to get out of the car. And that was just from me. You can just imagine what the kids where doing. Roland managed to entertain Duncan for a lot of the ride. I have no idea what was going in in the back seat, but they were both laughing like crazy. We went to Dollywood and had a blast. Roland was still too small to ride some of the really cool stuff, but he is only an inch away, so good times are a coming. This is what he looked like just sitting still, so I am a little worried about how he will be when he can really ride a roller coaster.
A classic Roland car pic.
As awful a picture as it may be, I still had to include this just to let Jesse know his Aunt Christy can still take him. He don't want none of this.
Ahhh. Carpet. Gift of the Gods. I think Duncan really appreciated the fact that Maw Maw doesn't have hardwood floors. I think it is just spoiling him.
Here we are enjoying the fireworks.

This one reminds me of the cell phone commercial about "more bars." (Cingular?)
We all just wanted to say thanks to Maw Maw for having us. She might have a little more gray hair because of it, but that's what hair dye is for.
Speaking of hair, Cousin Jesse helped me give Roland a cool new do.
These boys love their Jesse. He is such a great babysitter to both of them. Sometimes they act like siblings in the fighting/biting/screaming/whining kind of way, but like the pharmacist says, the benefits outweigh the risks-for the most part.
We saw a really cool dinosaur at the Durham Museum of Life and Science.
Most of our time at home has been spent in the pool. Duncan really likes to float as long as someone is not splashing him in the face. Here he is laughing at Roland.

And after a splash in the face. That's a "stink-eye" folks.
