Conjoined Dogs?
Maybe this should have been called ying and yang. I am pretty negligent about taking pictures of the older "kids," so I thought I would include a few of them. For those of you who don't know, this is Oscar and Buckwheat. It's a rough life.
Poor Buckwheat seems to be the brunt of many of Roland's escapades. He is a very tolerant, to say the least. He gets into a lot of trouble when he leaves the yard, but I have to say he is a great guardian to all of us. When Roland or Duncan cries, he is there to make sure they are all right.
This is mine and Shane's first cat together. Harley will be 14 this year. Crazy. She may be getting on in years, but she still rules the roost.
And this is Thomas. About six years ago, I began to notice that all of the cat food I left out when I went to work was all being consumed (which was no the norm). Then a few days later, I came home to find this cat sleeping on my couch. We haven't been able to get rid of him since. He is second in line for roost-ruling, but for right now he is just a fat, lazy bum.

Crowning achievements
I'll give you 3 guesses as to what we have been spending our time doing. After many prolonged family bathroom trips that involve reading, singing, playing with toys, moral support lectures, pulling the pants up and down (among other things), Roland seems to be getting the hang of pottying. He is VERY proud of himself. We are not all the way there yet, but this is a big step.
Love hurts

Bunny Time
Another month has come and gone and along with it, another holiday. We celebrated Easter in Tennessee with Mawmaw. We had a great time visiting. We went to Dollywood, had 3 egg hunts, and of course, saw the Easter Bunny. Roland was a little skeptical about the whole Easter Bunny thing. This is about as close as he came to sitting on it's lap.

Mawmaw helped us dye eggs so we thought to have our own egg hunt. It went a LOT slower than the other egg hunts. They went by so fast that I couldn't even get pictures. 50 kids+300 eggs=30 seconds.
This is Roland at Dollywood. I think Mawmaw beat him into submission while Shane and I rode the rollercoaster (a.k.a. best roller coaster ever). All in all, we had a lot of fun!
You can see where his interest really lies...
I personally like these Easter Bunnies best.

Holdin' my own
...pacifier that is. Well, Duncan is well on the road to self-sufficiency. This is attempt at holding the pacifier in his mouth by himself. I think he is doing a pretty good job. He is growing by leaps and bounds these days and is constantly trying to lift his head up if you have him laying in your arms. He is ready to see the world. Otherwise, he is still what we call a "holding-type baby" (patent pending). Anyway, I just thought I would put up a few pictures to let everyone see how big he is getting.

Deja vu baby
Exhibits A and B. Well, everyone keeps telling me that Duncan looks just like Roland, and while these pics might not be the best examples, you can definitely see the similarities. All I know is that I think they are pretty cute.

On the bottom is Duncan's first day in the swing. He doesn't really know what to do at this point, but he is definitely getting really good at jumping on my lap. If he is indeed like his brother, I think he will be a bouncey fool in no time.

Ahhhh-finally some brotherly love. Roland thought he was the man while escorting Duncan around. If we could just get Roland on diaper duty...the possibilities are endless!
