Gettin' our Christmas groove on

Slowly but surely we have been preparing for Christmas. We let Roland decorate the tree this year which left us with a lot less balls than we had to start with. I chose this picture so that everyone can see the newest fad in holiday decorating-placing all the ornaments in one spot. Martha Stewart ain't got nothing on us! Duncan helped by doing what he does best: looking cute and sleeping.Roland also had his Christmas play, but I could not get any pictures of his class from where I was sitting. Here he is afterward in his mouse get-up. I am not sure I remeber the part about mice and the nativity, but what do I know. The little girl is Celsey. I think she is Roland's first sweetheart.

And of course, Santa Claus. Here's hoping he hasn't really paid that much attention to that whole "naughty" thing.

Well, Roland finally got his first real (not from mom) haircut. He was a real champ and did not protest in the least. That is a big improvement from the blood curdling screams we get when we cut it at home.

Check out our video of our hard-working man. Roland has really taken on some responsibility since he became a big brother. Oh-and by the way, if you can't understand what he is saying, it's "cheese" (for the camera).

Duncan's first trip

We made our first official trip as a family of four last weekend. It was interesting to say the least. We had a great time visiting with all the family and Duncan got to visit Aunt Patsy for the first time. I keep telling Duncan he needs to be nice to Aunt Pat Pats because she is the one who gives us all the good candy for the holidays!
Roland was pretty excited because he got to ride the motorcycle and the tractor, but more importantly, he got to play with his favorite cousin-Jesse. They are two peas in a pod.

And...we finally got a picture of PawPaw and Duncan.

Wow, Pow Wow and Giving Thanks Now

Wow! It has been a crazy, fast-paced time around the Price household. Roland was in his first musical production at school and I think he is a real natural for theatre. All the 2-5 year olds put on a "pow wow" to celebrate Thanksgiving. You have not seen funny until you have watched 2-year olds try to do anything organized. All in all, the kids were very cute. I have posted one picture (Roland is 4th from right), but unfortunately many of the pictures did not turn out well.

We have had tons of vistors including The Johnson-Borden clan (Erika, Nate, Maddox and Rusty) who came down from Maryland. We had to catch them in our traditional couch pose.

We celebrated our Thanksgiving in Durham with Shane's parents and sister who all graciously made the trek from Kentucky. They were all very excited about the newest addition and to see how much Roland has grown, and of course the boys were excited about having more family visiting. As you can see, everyone is all smiles!

Is Aunt Trish a natural or what?

All this company has really been exhausting for Roland. As you can see, he has really aged.

And, as unbelievable as it may seem, Duncan turned 1 month old today. He is still a really tiny guy, but we know that will not last long. We are enjoying the peaceful moments while they last.
