Well, after what seemed to be a lifetime of being sick, bone-chilling cold, school functions, and work commitments, the Price's have decided to come out of hibernation. We wanted to officially wish everyone a happy winter before spring begins. We took the first warm day of the year to visit Lake Crabtree with some friends and let the boys play in the water. I think they both agreed that it was cold, but I am sure neither cared.
We obviously have a lot to catch up on, but here's a start.

Ummm, Thanksgiving? Yes. We took a road trip to Kentucky to see Mammaw and Pappaw and to have Thanksgiving with Aunt Trish and future Uncle Jeff. As it turns out, you don't get a lot of good pictures during the holiday season when a three year old is doing most of the taking. He is remarkably good for his age, but still. We did get a good shot of Mammaw and Shane. We also got some good ones of Trish's wedding dress, but thought those would be best left un-posted. We had a nice time, but I think our maximum car time is about 5 hours, and we exceeded that by 5 hours (plus some) on the trip back. That holiday traffic is a killer.
Prior to Christmas, we got to enjoy Duncan's Christmas performance and Roland's holiday party.
Shane went to Roland's class and made ginger bread houses. Shane had never made one before, and I think he really enjoyed it. I am not sure if Roland got to participate or not, but as long as someone had fun, I guess it's all right.
We did manage to squeeze in a trip to see The Big Guy. Roland asked for a Power Ranger Megazord, and Duncan asked for a motorcycle - not the kind you push around.
Well, here is a picture of the Megazord (among other things). Duncan got a microphone and a tricycle. Tricycle. Motorcycle. Sort of the same thing.
Here we are enjoying the Christmas snow. This is a definite rarity in N.C. Unfortunately, Shane had to drive in the snow and go back to work, but otherwise we had a great holiday and really enjoyed our time off.
Happy 2011 everyone and happy 11th anniversary to my hubby!
